Piazza Pet of the Week

Piazza Honda of Philadelphia and Piazza Auto Group are showing their appreciation for the Pennsylvania SPCA by sponsoring the Piazza Pet of the Week! Check out the Chris Stigall show each Wednesday at 7:50am on 1210-AM WPHT to hear about the newest Piazza Pet of the Week!

The PSPCA is the second humane organization founded in the United States nearly 150 years ago.  For more information about the PSPCA and adopting an animal - Visit the PSPCA website!

Check out Taz in action in the video below. Holly and Jerry are still available!

Taz is the absolutely perfect dog! He is a 9 year old Pittie Mix looking for his forever family! Taz is house-trained, takes direction well, and loves everyone! He is so well-behaved and gentle that he is the "go-to" dog for the PSPCA promotional events or training classes. Taz loves other dogs! He even has a little girlfriend pup! Taz could go into any home! Come meet this handsome guy today!
 Fiona - Adopted!!
Fiona is a beautiful 4 month old Selkirk Rex kitten. She is a grey calico coated kitten with wavy hair and large ears. This is typical of the Selkirk Rex breed that emerged in England in the 1960s. Fiona is super sweet and loving. She can't wait to find her forever family with you!
 Taylor - Adopted!!
Taylor is a 7 year old Rottweiler. She is a sweetheart! Taylor was surrendered to the PSPCA because her owners have a new baby in the home. Taylor has lived with her former family her entire life. Taylor is good with older children and is friendly with strangers. Come meet this sweet and active girl today!
 Roo - Adopted!!
This 4-year-old pittie mix is Roo! She is just about the sweetest, smallest little girl you have ever met. She was pulled from the city shelter as part of the Pennsylvania SPCA's Richard Lichter program, which allows them to pull dogs with solvable medical issues into their care. She is a playful girl, who is also very gentle in her nature, and greets everyone she meets with nothing but love. She is friendly and social, and for that reason can go into nearly any home. She is also playful and tolerant of other dogs, and would do well with other pups with the same play style.
 Pearl - Adopted!!
Pearl is a 3 year old Pittie Mix. She is smiley and happy and loves to meet new people. Pearl really likes other dogs and would love to have another dog to run and play with. Since she can get a little rambunctious, it would be best that she goes to a home with teens and adults to help keep her calm. Pearl is excited to find her forever family! Come and visit her today!
Jerry is a 3 year old Pittie Mix. Jerry was rescued by the PSPCA's Humane Law Enforcement Department. He is a very sweet and excitable dog who has gone to several events and loved everyone he met! Jerry will need a family that can work with him on his training and helping him contain his excitement. He would best fit in a home with teens and up due to his energy!
 Whiskers - Adopted!!
Whiskers is a 6 year old domestic long-haired grey and white cat. He was recently surrendered by his owner to the Danville center. Whiskers is a loving and friendly cat. He is good with other cats and even dogs. He is friendly with children as long as they are not bothering him. Whiskers is ready to find his forever family!
 Ruppy - Adopted!!
Ruppy is a 5 year old Beagle/Australian Kelpie mix. He is a sweet boy who loves his toys. Ruppy likes to be near someone when he is home. It can take him a while to settle down after a car ride or being left alone for a while. He would benefit from a fenced yard to run around and roam free. Ruppy would make the best family pet with further training and lots of love!
Holly is a big and beautiful Pittie Mix. She is ten years old and part of the PSPCA's Senior Prom promotion. Holly loves to go for walks, play with her toys, and hang out with people. The more the merrier! Holly is great with people of all ages. She is house broken and crate trained. She is very mellow and almost nothing scares her - not even the vacuum. Come and meet this sweet girl today!
