Earlier this month, Kelley Blue Book announced the roster of vehicles that had earned spots on the KBB.com "10 Best Back-to-School Cars 2017" list, and Honda had more vehicles make the list than any other automaker. The 2017 Honda Fit subcompact took top honors, while the 2017 Honda Civic sedan and 2017 Honda HR-V SUV took third and fourth places respectively.
In placing the Honda Fit at the top of the list, KBB.com pointed out that it offers the value, reliability and safety parents look for -- and the style, storage flexibility and enjoyable driving dynamics that students crave.
Editors noted that Honda Civic makes for a good first car for students, or just about anybody else for that matter.
The Honda HR-V was praised for establishing itself as the benchmark for the subcompact SUV segment, even though it was introduced just last year.
To compile their list, KBB.com looked at all vehicles with a Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Price purchase price of less than $20,000 and then chose the entries they felt best appealed to both parents and their students.
