Piazza Pet of the Week

Piazza Honda of Philadelphia and Piazza Auto Group are showing their appreciation for the Pennsylvania SPCA by sponsoring the Piazza Pet of the Week! Check out the Chris Stigall show each Wednesday at 7:50am on 1210-AM WPHT to hear about the newest Piazza Pet of the Week!

The PSPCA is the second humane organization founded in the United States nearly 150 years ago.  For more information about the PSPCA and adopting an animal - Visit the PSPCA website!

Check out Peppa in action in the video below!

 Peppa
Peppa is a three year old Labrador Retriever Mix. She was transferred in from a partner rescue and has been with the PSPCA for three months. Her favorite past times include spending time with people, chasing tennis balls, and training! Peppa is really smart and affectionate. She would best fit in a home with teenagers as she has a lot of energy and love to give. Best of all, she walks loosely on a leash and loves to walk by your side.

 Kaya - Adopted!!
Kaya is a two year old Pittie Mix. She was pulled to the PSPCA from ACCT in August. Kaya is the sweetest! She loves to meet new people! Kaya is gentle with her treats, knows "sit", and walks well on her leash. She sounds like a dream! Visit her at the PSPCA today!

 Zeus - Adopted!!
Zeus is an adorable four month old Pittie Puppy. Zeus was rescued by the PSPCA's Humane Law Enforcement Team. He was suffering from puppy strangles (juvenile cellulitis) and almost lost his one eye. Good thing he is fully recovered and ready to be adopted!! Zeus has the shelter hospital and the generosity of the Richard Lichter Charity for Dogs to thank!

 Leila - Adopted!!
Leila is a two year old Pittie Mix. She was rescued by the PSPCA's Humane Law Enforcement Team in mid-March. Leila was found with a gaping head wound and damage to her right eye. She unfortunately lost her eye, and had surgery to close her skull injury. Despite her hardships, Leila is happy and playful! She cannot wait to meet her forever family!

 Ace - Adopted!!
Ace is a five year old Chihuahua Mix. He was rescued by the PSPCA's Humane Law Enforcement Team. He has since doubled in size and is ready to find his forever family! Ace would be a great fit for homes with children of all ages. He does have some medical challenges - a heart murmur and an ocular ulcer in his right eye that requires drops. Otherwise, Ace is pretty perfect.

 Nutmeg - Adopted!!
Nutmeg is a six year old American Bully Mix. She was rescued along with her canine siblings last week. Both of them were adopted while Nutmeg is still waiting for her forever family. She is the sweetest dog and can go into any home! Nutmeg is great with other dogs too!

 Natasha - Adopted!!
Natasha is a wonderfully sweet one year old Pittie/Labrador Retriever Mix. She is a little shy when you first meet her, but she warms up quickly! Natasha would likely do well with other dogs, and would be best in a home with children ages 8 and up!

 Tia - Adopted!!
Tia is a 1 year old grey tabby cat who came to the PSPCA after being found by a Good Samaritan. The Good Samaritan had been feeding Tia for months and trying to find her a permanent home because of how friendly she was. Unfortunately, a home was not located and she ended up at the shelter. Tia is very sweet and friendly. She does have a mild brain condition that causes her to walk funny. Come meet Tia today!
