3,000 Miles Is No Longer the Standard Oil Change Time-Frame
There has long been a standard timeline for most vehicle owners to change out the oil in their vehicle's engine. For many years, many oil and lube centers as well as some mechanics, have recommended that vehicle owners change the oil out every 3,000 miles to improve the life of their vehicles.
At one point in time, this was an accurate statement but vehicles that have been made within the last twenty years are coming with a completely different recommendation. Many modern manufacturers are suggesting oil changes at the 7,500-mileage marker and some even more.
